Study Visit to Leiden (11 to 15 November 2019)
DS&AI partners meet at Leiden University to define the new curriculum
From 11 to 15 November 2019, the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS) of Leiden University hosted a meeting of the Erasmus+ DS&AI project with the goal of shaping a novel curriculum for a master’s programme in data science and artificial Intelligence, which will be implemented by the Asian partner universities starting from academic year 2020-2021. Continuing the work initiated at the meeting in Athens, the meeting resulted in the outline of 5 core courses, 11 elective courses and 3 training courses.
A very successful meeting that included an hands-on experience offered by visited the Leiden University Centre of Innovation on the use of data Intelligence, augmented reality and virtual reality in educational programmes. The participants had also the time to extensively meet with teaching and research staff at the Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), and to visit the Media Lab, the Media Tech Lab, and the Image Lab.
